Oxford is a city in the United Kingdom - in central southern England - with a population of just under 165.000, of whom 153.900 live within the district boundary. The city is well known for its university, but also the car production plant that produces the new Mini. Buildings in Oxford contain architecture of nearly every English architectural period after the arrival of the Saxons.

Typical for traffic in the United Kingdom is driving on the left side of the road. This experience is different for every person, but one is getting used to driving on the left fairly quickly. Other road users, the traffic signs and many other elements on the road all point towards the direction one should drive, guiding the (continental) driver into the right direction in a natural way.

In the first video we start in the northern outskirts of Oxford and drive towards the city centre. After having drivin on the ring road that is part of the A40, we turn right on the roundabout and continue to the centre of Oxford on Banbury Road.
Our journey continues in the second part of the video in which we drive through the historic city centre of Oxford. Here we also turn into High Street (at 5:00) which runs between Carfax (city centre) and the Magdalen Bridge to the east. It forms a gentle curve, features many historic buildings and is the most popular street of Oxford.
