The co-drivers view: Berlin

Berlin is not only the capital of Germay, located in the eastern part of the country, and also is the capital of the county. With 892km2 it has the largest surface area all cities in central Europa, while the 3,5 million inhabitants make it the second largest city in the European Union.

In 1936 Berlin was host to the Olympic Games, therefore a new stadium was built in the western part of the city. At this place the first video starts, after heading for the stadium we turn around into the area of "Westend". After turning onto the "Reichsstraße", the are driving out of the "Westend" district. The "Theodor-Heuss-Platz" is the first major road crossing, in the form of a large roundabout with traffic lights. From the "Theodor-Heuss-Platz" one can reach many points of the city directly, but we choose to drive onto the Kaiserdamm towards the city center and Tiergarten district.

Continuing onto the Kaiserdamm in the second video, we drive along the Siegessäule and towards. Brandenburger Tor (Brandenburg Gate). After having reached the Brandenburg Gate, we turn left towards the Reichstag. The stones in the road surface indicate the place where the Berlin Wall used to run, right in front of the Brandenburg Gate and on the road we are driving on.
